An interesting debate I'm sure

Post by A8_Tony on Mon Oct 18, 2010 12:57 pm

OK, we've all grown up knowing about this:

And loving it dearly.

But what do we think about it 30 years on?

Personally, I think it's rather bloody gorgeous, but then we all have our own taste.

It's rumoured to be pushing out 408bhp, which is nice. Especially when coupled with a weight of 1300 kg!!! All wrapped up in a rather sweet longitudinally mounted 5 cylinder mota Happy

0-62 is expected to be around 3.9 seconds, imagine what it'll be like with a few tweaks to that engine? Twisted Evil

I like it... and given the craziness that can go on with the 5-pots previously, I'd expect someone to have 1000hp out of it within a few months.

Even I grew up loving the original and I only hit the early in late 1990. New one does look fairly nice too.

Audi have got some very seriously cool machinery in the pipelines....and most of it isn't too far removed from the original concepts.
